The principal players in the case now known as the U.S. vs. Nichols include a no-nonsense judge, an accomplished defense attorney and a hard-nosed prosecutor.

At the center of the proceedings is Terry Nichols, a father of three, who is charged with both planning and carrying out the terrorist attack on the federal building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. The truck bomb made of fertilizer, diesel and racing fuel killed 168 people.
