Kylie's bra gets snapped up
LONDON, England -- One of Australian pop star Kylie Minogue's skimpiest bras has been snapped up at an auction for £2,400 ($3,700). The saucy star's underwear proved to be the most alluring of a collection donated by some of the world's most glamorous women to a breast cancer charity. Lingerie belonging to and signed by pop stars and models raised a total of £8,000 ($12,500) at the charity event organised by Breast Cancer Care in London, on Tuesday with a further £4,000 collected in ticket sales. The buyer of Kylie's skimpy, sexy black mesh bra with pink straps has not been disclosed, but organisers say the event was well attended by "City boys." Supermodel Elle Macpherson's underwear raised £650, while singer Holly Valance's, went for £550. Model Caprice¹s bra was bought for £600, Denise Van Outen's attracted £550 while former East Enders' soap star Martine McCutcheon's bra went under the hammer for £250. The money raised will go towards publicising Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Former Bond girl Ursula Andress donated a white bikini top, identical to the one she famously wore in the movie Dr. No, which went in a raffle. Nina Kapur, from Warner Village Cinemas which hosted the event, told the UK's Press Association: "The money will be used to fund the charity's free helpline, which receives over 16,000 calls a year from breast cancer sufferers."
